The West Indies’ pacer Alzarri Joseph recently caught every headline after he was captured exiting the field during the third ODI of the ongoing white ball series against England. Joseph stormed out of the field after a disagreement with the West Indies skipper Shai Hope.

The moment happened in the fourth over of the first innings of the game. Joseph, who was having a conversation with Hope over the field placements, disagreed, and much to the spectators’ surprise, Joseph walked off the field due to the argument.

Bowling the over, Joseph seemed to be frustrated about the slip fielder’s position after his first delivery was deflected onto point. He continued the over with a fiery 148 km/h bouncer that saw the dismissal of Jordan Cox. However, despite the wicket, Joseph did not seem satisfied as he continued to argue with Hope.

Talking of the same, former England captain Mark Butcher, who was on air during the moment, opined that a bowler’s job is to bowl to the captain’s plans and sort out any differing opinions behind closed doors.

“Many time, as a captain or as a player, you have a disagreement about something on the field. But you work that out either behind closed doors, or you get on with your job. Your captain asks you to bowl to a field, you bowl to it,” Butcher said on air.
