Tushar Deshpande gets married to Nabha Gaddamwar
Chennai Super Kings’ rising star, Tushar Deshpande, who emerged as a key bowler in the 2023 Indian Premier League, has tied the knot with Nabha Gaddamwar in a heartwarming ceremony surrounded by loved ones. The journey towards marriage began when Deshpande got engaged to his long-time “school crush” in a picturesque event in Mumbai earlier this year, following the culmination of the IPL season. He took to Instagram and uploaded a picture of himself and his wife taking wedding vows.
The talented right-arm fast bowler showcased his prowess in CSK’s victorious campaign in the IPL 2023. Deshpande played a pivotal role in their thrilling triumph over the defending champions, Gujarat Titans. His impressive tally of 21 wickets in 16 matches made him CSK’s leading wicket-taker.

Previously, Chennai Super Kings’ opener Ruturaj Gaikwad had opted out of the Indian team’s reserve opener position for the ICC World Test Championship (WTC) final due to his marriage commitments. Gaikwad married Utkarsha Pawar, a talented all-rounder with experience playing for Maharashtra in domestic tournaments. He had informed the BCCI of his decision, prioritizing his wedding over the cricketing commitment.

With a commendable record in various formats, Deshpande boasts 80 wickets in 29 first-class games, 35 wickets in 34 List A matches, and 83 wickets in 59 T20Is. His exceptional performance in the IPL 2023 drew attention to his dedication and skill on the field. Reflecting on his success, he had acknowledged the influence of MS Dhoni. He described their relationship as that of a soldier to his commander. He had expressed trust in Dhoni’s guidance, emphasizing his conviction that the legendary captain would always steer him in the right direction.
“You know you have someone who will guide and show the light when things are not going in our favour. He is a selfless guy and keeps things simple. He doesn’t complicate things and will be with you in your bad times. Like a soldier, I will just follow whatever he says. I know he can never take me on a wrong path,” Deshpande had told Indian Express.
“Dhoni plans are very clear that this is what you need to do and then one has to execute. He will give freedom as well and when needed he will put a word. He told me that I have everything to play at the top, just be calm, take a deep breath,” he added.
