SRH vs LSG Preview – Fired-up Hyderabad clashes with Lucknow on their home turf

Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) will look to work up a batting storm once again at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad when they lock horns with Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) on Thursday, March 27.
Pat Cummins-led SRH started their campaign with a phenomenal batting performance against Rajasthan Royals at home. Ishan Kishan slammed an unbeaten century while Travis Head, Nitish Kumar Reddy, and Heinrich Klaasen chipped in with blistering cameos. Sunrisers amassed 286/6 in their 20 overs as Kishan remained unbeaten on 106 off 47 balls.
In reply, Simarjeet Singh and Mohammed Shami accounted for three wickets with the new ball before Sanju Samson and Dhruv Jurel forged a counter-attacking stand. Harshal Patel bowled an economical spell, finishing with figures of 2/34 in four overs as Rajasthan lost by 33 runs.
Meanwhile, the Super Giants would be gutted after letting Delhi Capitals register a win from the jaws of defeat in their opening game in Visakhapatnam. Mitchell Marsh and Nicholas Pooran slammed enterprising half-centuries to power their team to 209/8 in their 20 overs.
The Lucknow bowlers had Delhi on the mat at 65/5 in the seventh over. However, debutant Vipraj Nigam and Impact Player Ashutosh Sharma stole the show with some awe-inspiring hitting as the Capitals won the match with one wicket and three balls to spare.
Pitch Report
The Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium has been a batting paradise, especially since last season. In the previous clash, there was not much in the pitch for the bowlers as the batters were able to hit through the line and the quick outfield also made run-scoring easier. The captain who wins the toss would want to bat first and put up a huge total on the board.
