Mumbai Indians skipper Harmanpreet Kaur optimistic ahead of WPL
Defending champions Mumbai Indians will kick off the second edition of the Women’s Premier League (WPL) against last year’s finalists Delhi Capitals on February 23 at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. Ahead of that, skipper Harmanpreet Kaur expressed her excitement and stated that she is eager for the action to begin.
On the day of the commencement of the second edition of WPL, BCCI secretary Jay Shah took to X (formerly Twitter) to express his gratitude as the league is stepping into its second year. He extended his heartfelt acknowledgement towards the players and stated that their unwavering commitment and enthusiasm have made WPL more than just a league.
Quoting that, Harmanpreet expressed her excitement and stated that the nation is already happy and they will try to add more to their happiness.

Ahead of challenging Delhi, Harmanpreet opened up on their training sessions and stated that they are keeping the preparations simple and are not expecting too much from themselves. She added that the players are confident of retaining the coveted trophy and are ready for the opening game.
“We just kept our preparations very simple. We are trying not to expect too much from ourselves and doing too many things. That was our approach last year too and we want to continue that. We are feeling very confident going into this match and tournament. We feel that we are ready for the game,” Harmanpreet was quoted as saying by NDTV.
