Lucknow’s pace sensation Mayank Yadav likely to return against CSK
Lucknow Super Giants continue their ongoing IPL (Indian Premier League) 2024 campaign against defending champions Chennai Super Kings at the Ekana Stadium in Lucknow on Friday, April 19.
It is worth noting that LSG played their last two matches without star young pacer Mayank Yadav as the 21-year-old injured his hip against Gujarat Titans and missed the clashes against DC and KKR to recover. However, he could be available for the clash against CSK.
The side took to social media and shared a clip of Yadav bowling in the nets. “Phir se udd chala,” LSG captioned the post. With six wickets in three matches, Mayank looked sensational for Lucknow before his injury, and the franchise will hope that he can continue his string of performances in the upcoming game as well.
LSG aims to register fourth win of the season
Speaking of Lucknow Super Giants, the side has had a roller coaster of the season in the IPL 2024 so far as they have registered three wins and as many losses in the six games so far. They are currently in the fifth spot place in the standings with six points to their name.
On the other hand, Chennai Super Kings are well in the race to make the IPL playoffs as well. The five-time champions find themselves in third place in the standings with four wins in six matches. With eight points in six matches, CSK has been in brilliant form, and they will aim to continue it in the upcoming game.
