IPL 2025: Kolkata Knight Riders full schedule
Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) had a memorable Indian Premier League 2024. It was a perfect edition for them as their former skipper, Gautam Gambhir was back as mentor and the team was unstoppable through the league stages and till the finale against an equally fierce, Sunrisers Hyderabad. But the franchise made some bold decisions in letting go of their IPL-winning captain, Shreyas Iyer, and rather banked on the veterans of the team.
The defending champions retained six players ahead of the IPL 2025 mega auction in the form of Rinku Singh (INR 13 crore), Varun Chakravarthy, Sunil Narine, and Andre Russell (INR 12 crore each), along with Harshit Rana and Ramandeep Singh (INR 4 crore each). At the auction table, they seemed a franchise with a plan and surprised everyone by buying back their released player Venkatesh Iyer for a whopping INR 23.75 crore. They will play the inaugural game of IPL 2025 against Royal Challengers Bengaluru on March 22 at Eden Gardens.
