IPL 2025 Auction: Gujarat Titans squad analysis

Gujarat Titans would be happy with how they fared in the IPL 2025 mega-auction. They have a fairly decent playing XI but the lack of backups in a few areas can be concerning. The 2022 champions retained a good portion of their core as the likes of Shubman Gill, Rashid Khan and Sai Sudharsan will play a key part in the coming season.

Meanwhile, the new additions of Jos Buttler, Kagiso Rabada, Glenn Phillips, Mohammed Siraj and Washington Sundar can be vital as the Titans will be determined to perform better after a topsy-turvy 2024 season.

The bowling unit looks sorted with good additions as Siraj, Rabada, Coetzee and Rashid can prove to be deadly. They have Rahul Tewatia and Sundar as well, who can bat anywhere and if required, can be used at Impact Players as well.

The batting unit, however, looks a bit shaky. Gill, Buttler and Sudharsan are good options but after that, the likes of Anuj Rawat, Shahrukh and Phillips lack consistency. Sherfane Rutherford can be a good option and if they sort out the middle order issues, GT can be as deadly as any team.
