IPL 2025 Auction: 3 players SRH might target

So close, yet so far – that was Sunrisers Hyderabad’s story in the last edition of the IPL. They entertained everyone with quality batting but on the night of the finals, Kolkata Knight Riders had the last laugh, beating them by eight wickets. The franchise is determined to win the gold and has retained its core, with Pat Cummins, Abhishek Sharma, Travis Head, Heinrich Klaasen, and Nitish Reddy retained.

They will be looking at the bowlers in the auction, as the batting unit looks more or less sorted with Head, Abhishek, Klaasen, and Reddy. The focus will be to rebuild the bowling group and add all-rounders and here are three players they can target keeping that in mind.

3. T Natarajan

It won’t be surprising if Hyderabad use their RTM card on T Natarajan. The 33-year-old has been sensational for the team in the last few years and picked up 19 wickets in 14 games last season. Most of Hyderabad’s matches were high-scoring affairs and even then the pacer bowled at a commendable economy rate of 9.06.

2. Mitchell Marsh

SRH will be looking at all-rounders and players who can bat at three and Mitchell Marsh fits the bill perfectly. Coach Daniel Vettori and captain Pat Cummins would be aware of what Marsh brings to the table. Hence, Hyderabad might be interested in roping him. In case Cummins decides to rest for a few games due to Ashes 2025-26, Marsh can lead the side as well.

1. Arshdeep Singh

The franchise will eye someone like Arshdeep Singh as they are rebuilding the bowling group. The young India pacer is currently the second-leading wicket-taker for India in T20Is and is expected to be in high demand in the auction. Whether or not Hyderabad can manage to sign him is a different question altogether
