As many as 333 players will be offered to bid, and ten teams will have a hard day out to get the best out of these in their limited cash reserves. There are a total of 77 slots to be filled among all the franchises. All the teams have revamped their squad to go harder in the upcoming season. Chennai Super Kings won the previous edition in a thrilling fashion, but a new season brings equal opportunities for all the participants.

Speaking more about IPL 2024 auction, the event will be held at the Coca-Cola Arena, in Dubai, UAE on Tuesday, December 19. Mallika Sagar, the dazzling auctioneer who successfully conducted the WPL Auctions previously, will be inviting bids from the tables. After the auction, the trading window will be open again from December 20, wherein players from different franchises may be traded, but only for a P2P (Player-To-Player) exchange.

The auction is surely going to set the stage ablaze, as a lot of impressive names have been registered ahead of the seventeenth edition of the most lucrative T20 league in the world. The Aussie tripling of Travis Head, Pat Cummins, and Mitchell Starc will catch the majority of the eyeballs. Whereas, the Kiwi all-rounder Rachin Ravindra, who had a phenomenal World Cup campaign, will also attract bidders when his name comes out of the kitty. Apart from them, players like Gerald Coetzee and Shardul Thakur might bag big bucks.

Here is how the teams are placed ahead of the auction:
