IND vs AFG Review: Record breaking night for Rohit, Bumrah seal mighty win for India
In the 9th match of the ICC ODI World Cup 2023, India faced Afghanistan and emerged victorious by a convincing eight-wicket margin thanks to Rohit Sharma and Jasprit Bumrah. Winning the toss, Afghanistan chose to bat first but lost their openers and in-form batter, Rahmat Shah, early on. However, captain Hashmatullah Shahidi and Azmatullah Omarzai formed a solid partnership for the fifth wicket to stabilize the innings.

In the end, Afghanistan managed to reach a total of 272 runs in their allotted 50 overs, with Shahidi scoring 80 and Omarzai contributing 62. Indian bowler Bumrah was the standout performer, taking four wickets.

Additionally, Virat Kohli played a crucial role by scoring an unbeaten 55 off 56 balls, helping India secure an eight-wicket win. Rashid Khan took two wickets for Afghanistan.
