DC vs SRH Preview: Delhi braces for its first home game vs top class Hyderabad
Delhi Capitals (DC) will host Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in Match 35 of the Indian Premier League 2024 at Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi on April 20. DC managed to pull off a heist against Gujarat Titans (Gt) in their last game at the Narendra Modi Stadium, winning by six wickets. On the other hand, SRH proved to be a proper nightmare for Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB). They created history by recording the highest-ever total of IPL and won the game by 25 runs.
DC are placed sixth on the points table and will look to amply their winning streak against formidable SRH. Whereas, Hyderabad is placed fourth and will aim for a comprehensive victory against injury-prone Delhi. DC can take pride in their newly-found bowling arsenal and SRH are flexing their mighty batting lineup throughout the tournament. The Rishabh Pant-led side has to keep in mind their dismal net run rate and a win would work in their favour.
Pitch Report
The Arun Jaitley Stadium is a better venue for any T20 game. The boundaries are marginally balanced as bowlers can rely upon moderate outfield. The batters tend to enjoy batting here, as the bowl takes no time to kiss the wood. Pacers can fetch variations with the new ball. As seen during Women’s Premier League games, the fast bowlers dictated the proceeding of the game. Expect clear skies with hot and humid conditions on Saturday.
