Chennai Super Kings: IPL 2025 Preview

Where they finished last season
Chennai Super Kings ended up in fifth position with seven wins and as many losses. It would’ve been yet another playoff finish had Royal Challengers Bengaluru not pipped the Men in Yellow in their final group-stage game.
What’s new in 2025
Three of CSK’s old players Ravichandran Ashwin, Sam Curran, and Vijay Shankar make their return to the franchise. Shreyas Gopal, Kamlesh Nagarkoti, and Deepak Hooda have an opportunity to get their IPL careers back on track after being roped in by CSK.
Watch out for
How MS Dhoni will be utilized will be quite an interesting experience. In all probability, he would be deployed as an Impact Player. However, one really can’t say how the management plans on engaging him. Another player to be on the lookout for is Sam Curran. With the English all-rounder not being around any of England’s squads at present, he could be expected to deliver big performances as and when his opportunities come by.
