BCCI announces fixtures for Test series vs England in 2025

The BCCI (Board of Control for Cricket in India) recently took to social media and revealed the Indian team’s schedule for the upcoming tour of England in 2025. The Indian team will take on the mighty England across five Test matches in June, July, and August next year.

Taking to X (formerly known as Twitter), the BCCI revealed the schedule, and the first Test of the series will be played at the Headingley in Leeds and will be played from June 20, 2025. Furthermore, the second test is scheduled to begin on July 2nd.

Furthermore, the 3rd, 4th, and 5th tests will cover most of July and August next year. The 3rd Test will begin on July 10, the 4th Test on July 23, and the final Test match on July 31.

England is currently playing a Test series against Sri Lanka

Speaking of England, the side is currently hosting Sri Lanka for a three-game Test series. The first Test of the same was held at Old Trafford in Manchester on August 21. Bowling first, England managed to limit Sri Lanka to a score of 236 runs in the first innings.

The side will hope for good showings across the series and make their way up in the WTC (World Test Championship) standings. As for team India, the side recently took on Sri Lanka as well. After winning the T20I series against the side, India succumbed to a shock loss in the ODI series.

The side will now shift its focus to a Test series against Bangladesh. Hosting the side, the first Test of the series will be held at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai from September 19.
