Net worth of India’s legendary off-spinner: Ravichandran Ashwin
One of India’s most prized cricketers, Ravichandran Ashwin has ruled the roost in international cricket in the last decade. With an experience of 78 Tests, 111 ODIs and 46 T20Is, Ashwin has stamped his authority in the international circuit with the sheer weight of his performances.
Known for his endless variations, Ashwin has bagged more wickets than anyone else in international cricket (611) since his international debut. The off-spinner has also been the leading wicket-taker for India in the decade gone by, with 564 scalps to his name and he is the quickest to the landmark of wickets in multiples of 50 to 400 for India in Tests, and the fastest from 250, 300, and 350 Test scalps in the all-time list.

Apart from international cricket, Ashwin has been a regular feature at the Indian Premier League in the last decade. First picked by the Chennai Super Kings in 2009, he shot to prominence in 2010 when CSK won the tournament’s third edition under MS Dhoni’s leadership. Ashwin shone brightly for the team in 2011 too, when CSK recorded its second triumph in the league.
His association with the yellow army continued until the team was suspended for two years, with Ashwin joining the Rising Pune Supergiants. In 2018, he was bought by the Kings XI Punjab (now Punjab Kings) for a whopping INR 7.6 crore and he even led the team. He stayed with the Kings for the next couple of seasons before joining the Delhi Capitals.
Ashwin holds a Grade A contract of the BCCI, which prevised him an annual salary of INR 3 crore, while he received INR 7.6 crore for the 2020 IPL season as he was traded in by the Delhi team from Kings XI Punjab.
