Sayali Satghare rocks Nagaland with a 7-wicket haul

Nagaland Women’s top-order failed completely after their skipper won the toss and decided to bat first. The first four batters, including captain Sentilemla could not even open their accounts as Nagaland Women were reduced to 0 for 3 after the first three overs. Mumbai Women’s captain Sayali Satghare was the destructor-in-chief as she blew Nagaland away with a seven-wicket haul.

For Nagaland Women, their No.7 batter Sariba was the top-scorer, scoring more than 50 per cent of the runs. Sariba scored 9 to ensure her team touches the double-digit mark. The next top-scorer for them was the three extra runs. The second highest-scorer with the bat was Kekhrienuo who scored 2 runs. Out of the remaining 9 batters, six failed to open their accounts while the other three scored one run each during the disastrous display.

Nagaland Women’s innings last for only 17.4 overs. Apart from Satghare, the other Mumbai bowler who impressed was S. Thakor. She bowled five overs and did not concede a single run in addition to taking a wicket. The other two wickets were taken by M. Dakshini.

With the bat, Mumbai needed only four balls to get over the line. Rwisumwi Basumatari opened the bowling for Nagaland and could not even complete her over. Mumbai opener Esha Oza hit the first three balls for boundaries before Basumatari bowled a no-ball and the former took a single off it. Vrushali Bhagat then finished the game in style by smashing a six.
