MS Dhoni undergoing knee treatment from a local Ayurvedic practitioner
Former India skipper and cricket veteran MS Dhoni is receiving treatment for knees from a local ‘vaidya’ after complaining of pain in both knees. A ‘vaidya’ is referred to as a practitioner of Ayurveda who helps in the treatment and healing of injuries. Dhoni is said to be visiting a local practitioner in Ranchi and undergoing treatment.
Renowned practitioner Vandan Singh urges his patients to consume milk that has been mixed with a variety of herbs. He said that Dhoni had taken one dose of the medication a month prior and that he was unsure of the timing of his next appointment to receive the next dose. The medical professional said, in a video that has since gone viral online, how he was unable to recognize Dhoni and only learned about him after locals began taking pictures with the superstar.
According to a report by Times Now News, Dhoni’s parents had been going to the specialist for two to three months before Dhoni joined them after feeling some discomfort. Dhoni informed the doctor about some aches in both of his knees, and then he was given a dosage of a INR 40 medicine.
Dhoni will next be seen in IPL 2023
MS Dhoni announced his retirement from international cricket in August 2020, when no teams were playing any matches due to the lockdown. The last international match that he played was the 2019 World Cup semi-finals against New Zealand, where he had gotten run out. Since then, he is only seen in the yellow jersey representing and leading the Chennai Super Kings in IPL.
Ahead of the IPL this year, Dhoni had decided to step down from the captaincy and handed over the baton to one of the finest all-rounders of not just CSK, but also the Indian team- Ravindra Jadeja. But it was seen that Jadeja was not able to focus on his game while captaining the side for the first time ever. As a result, CSK lost a handful of games to start their campaign and the management decided to get Dhoni back into the role.
The veteran will be seen playing for CSK next year again, in the IPL 2023 as he confirmed his participation this year, saying 2022 won’t be his final season.
