MS Dhoni shares a light moment with Ranveer Singh during football practice
Former India skipper MS Dhoni has been enjoying his time away from the game ever since the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021 got postponed due to a spate of coronavirus cases inside the bio-bubble. He announced retirement from international cricket last year but has been active playing in the IPL leading the Chennai Super Kings (CSK).
During his time away from the sport, Dhoni prefers to stay away from the limelight even as the fans get desperate to get a glimpse of their favourite player. And no wonder his appearance in the all-stars football practice match was going to be missed by the fans.
He was seen having a light-hearted moment on the field with the Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh. The duo was seen enjoying their time in the middle as Ranveer, the self-confessed fan of MS Dhoni, was also seen hugging the former India skipper. The two were clicked together along with other stars and the pictures soon went viral on social media.

MS Dhoni will be back in action in September
Meanwhile, MS Dhoni will be soon gearing up for the second leg of the IPL 2021. The tournament is set to resume on September 19 with the marquee games between the defending champions Mumbai Indians and the Dhoni-led CSK in Dubai. The Men in Yellow are currently placed second in the points table having done extremely well during the first leg in India.
There are chances that he might retire from the IPL as well after this edition but the CSK CEO is confident that their talismanic cricketer will play for the franchise in the next season as well. The veteran cricketer, even in the IPL 2021, hasn’t batted much and has largely stayed behind the scenes pushing the other batsmen up the order in an attempt to put them in crunch situations during the matches.
CSK didn’t have a good time last year in the UAE and it will be interesting to see how MS Dhoni leads them in the second leg of the 2021 season this time.
