MS Dhoni and Deepak Chahar catch up in Bengaluru at a private birthday
Bowling all-rounder Deepak Chahar reunited with his Chennai Super Kings (CSK) captain MS Dhoni during a private birthday in Bengaluru on Sunday, October 9. The image of this meeting went viral in no time with some of the fans even wondering what the two were up to.
Dhoni might be only active in the IPL having retired from international cricket in August 2020. However, he is engaged in various business activities and lately, he has launched a film production company named ‘Dhoni Entertainment’ which will be producing movies in Tamil, Telugu, and, Malayalam languages.
According to reports, Mahendra Singh Dhoni has been visiting South India for launching his production company and therefore, he must have paid a visit to Bengaluru for the very same purpose.
Deepak Chahar trying to recover in time before the T20 World Cup
Meanwhile, Deepak Chahar has been named one of India’s standby players for the T20 World Cup. After tasting success in the T20I series against South Africa, he was also included for the ongoing three One Dayers. However, the Agra cricketer could not play in the first game before eventually being ruled out of the series due to a stiffness in his back that he had suffered after batting in the third and final T20I.
He is currently in Bengaluru where he is set to be monitored by the medical team at the National Cricket Association (NCA). It is to be noted that Chahar had to undergo a rehab at the NCA for a back injury earlier this year as a result of which not only was he ruled out of the entire IPL 2022 but also ended up missing the international fixtures that followed including the Asia Cup.
The Indian team management and the selectors would now be hoping that Deepak’s injury is not too serious with Ravindra Jadeja and Jasprit Bumrah already ruled out.
