3. Tim Southee (New Zealand) – 35 wickets
Veteran Kiwi pacer Tim Southee has been a mainstay for New Zealand for nearly 15 years. The Kiwi pacer has got 200+ wickets to his name, and it would be fair to say he likes playing against India as he has bagged 35 scalps against India, his second-highest tally against a team in ODIs. While the Indian pitches are known to accommodate the spinners, Southee has enjoyed bowling in the subcontinent as 25 of his 35 wickets against the Asia giants came in India.
2. Anil Kumble (India) – 39 wickets
Legendary Indian spinner and former captain Anil Kumble is the second name on this prestigious list. During his playing days, he was known for his accuracy and guile with the ball. Although he wasn’t as prolific in the 50-over format as in red-ball cricket, Kumble loved playing against the Kiwis, accounting for 39 wickets in 31 matches against the Blackcaps. His second-best ODI figures came against them in a match in Wellington, where he returned with brilliant figures of 5/33, guiding his side to victory by 12 runs.
1. Javagal Srinath (India) – 51 wickets
Former Indian pacer Javagal Srinath terrorized a fair few oppositions during his time with the national team. The electric paced loved playing against the Kiwis as 51 of his 315 against the Blackcaps, his second most against any opposition, just behind 54 against arch-rivals Pakistan. His 51 wickets came in just 30 matches between the two nations with a tremendous bowling average of 20.41 while conceding below four runs an over.
