Most T20Is played by a country

Ever since the T20 format came into existence in the mid-2000s, there has been a significant increase in the number of games in the bilateral series. Previously, the T20I series were not the first-choice inclusion in series schedules, however, there are hardly any series played without T20Is in the modern day. Let us look at the most T20Is played by countries.

West Indies

West Indies has played the third-most number of T20 internationals so far and they hold the record for the most number of ICC T20 World Cup titles with two to their name. The Caribbean nation played their first T20I in 2006 and so far, have played 171 games, of which they have won 70 and lost 88, a win percent of 44.4. They managed to win the T20 World Cup in the 2012 and 2016 editions.

India

India has played the second-most number of T20I internationals so far after playing their first game in the format way back in 2006 against South Africa. The Men in Blue won the first edition of the T20 World Cup in 2007. However, since then they have reached the finals only once in 2014. India have enjoyed their run in T20Is with 117 wins in 183 games so far and have lost just 58 games. They have a win percentage of 66.57, which is the best among the Test-playing nations.

Pakistan

Pakistan is the only nation to have played more than 200 T20 internationals so far and they achieved the record during the ongoing seven-match T20I series against England. The Men in Green won the T20 World Cup in 2009 and since then are yet to get their hands on the trophy. However, their overall numbers in the format have been quite good, with 123 wins and 70 losses 201 games, which translates to a win percent of 63.52.
