After the successful conclusion of the T20I series against neighbours Sri Lanka, India will host the Islanders in a three-match ODI series scheduled to commence on January 11. The Men in Blue played the series with a few fresh faces in the bowling unit as they worked in tandem to hand the side an edge. It is worth mentioning that the Indian side over the years has produced many notable players who have spearheaded the bowling department and have performed exceedingly well. 3. Ajit Agarkar – 109 wickets
Former pacer Ajit Agarkar relished some terrific outings for the national side in the 50-over format as he stands among the highest wicket takers at home. Agarkar bagged 109 wickets during his time with the Men in Blue in 68 innings in home ODIs. He is the only pacer in the top-three list of most ODI wickets for India at home.
2. Harbhajan Singh – 110 wickets
With the tracks in India mostly favouring the spinners, the top two on the list took this to their advantage and worked their way up in the list of most wickets taken. Harbhajan Singh may not be the greatest turner of the ball but surely understood the pitches well and use of it. The offie often used the slower balls coupled with decent flight which got him as many as 110 wickets in 94 matches for the side at home.
1. Anil Kumble – 126 wickets
Topping the charts is the former spin wizard, Anil Kumble. Arguably one of the greatest spinners the world ever witnessed, Kumble often got the leg spin and the occasional wrong-uns which worked like magic for the side. This helped him rack up a mammoth 126 wickets to his name during his stint with the Men in Blue in 89 innings at home.
