Most dot balls bowled by a bowler in T20 World Cup
A bowler’s job is to pick wickets and at the same time contain runs irrespective of the format and the tournament. In T20 cricket, which is the most demanding and action-packed format, bowlers have to be on their toes to pick wickets and try to dry up the scoring rates of the batters. In T20 World Cups, few prominent names have managed to deliver the most number of dot deliveries.
Let’s take a look at 3 bowlers with the most dot balls in the history of T20 World Cups:
3.Lasith Malinga (240)
Former Sri Lanka pacer and the yorker specialist Lasith Malinga occupies the third position for delivering the most dot balls in the history of T20 World Cups competitions. The right-arm fast bowler bowled 240 dot balls in 31 innings. Malinga, who has taken the third-most wickets (38) in the tournament, has delivered 616 balls, conceding 763 runs at an average of 20.07 and a strike rate of 16.2 with an economy rate of 7.43.
