Most dismissals as wicketkeeper in BGT history

The BGT series thus far has seen some phenomenal performances from players in all aspects of the game. While one of the aspects is wicket-keeping, the role of the wicketkeeper in any format is vital. A brilliant piece of effort by the wicketkeeper can help the team dominate the opposition. Let’s take a look at the top three wicket-keepers with the most dismissals in the history of the series-
3. Brad Haddin – 58
The former Australia wicketkeeper has one of the best numbers in terms of dismissals in the series. During the span of 2008 to 2015, the keeper batter dismissed 58 players behind the stumps in 26 innings. This includes 56 catches and two stumpings.
2. MS Dhoni – 71
Regarded as one of the best wicketkeepers of all time, Dhoni has got the most dismissals as an Indian in the series versus Australia. He is the only player along with Adam Gilchrist to lead the tally with 70-plus dismissals. Dhoni was often known for his swiftness behind the stumps, and in 35 innings, the former India skipper took 71 dismissals, which include as many as 56 catches and 15 stumpings.
1. Adam Gilchrist – 75
Another legend of the sport, Gilchrist was known for his technical skills behind the stumps, which handed his bowled breakthroughs on numerous occasions. Gilchrist leads the tally for the most dismissals in the series as he has 75, which includes a mammoth 73 catches and two stumpings.
