Most century partnerships in ODIs
In cricket, partnerships are very important. Building a partnership is crucial for both establishing an innings and for scoring consistently. In what is a proud moment for the Indian cricket fans, three Indian pairs are among the top duos who have managed to register the most century stands between themselves in the 50-over format. Let us have a look:
4. Rohit Sharma and Shikhar Dhawan (India) – 18
Indian skipper Sharma and the prolific opening batter Dhawan have been the opening duo for the Men in Blue for a long time. The two have played together in 114 games between 2011 and 2022, combining to score 5,153 runs at an average of 46. They share 18 century stands between themselves. One of their finest partnerships came against Pakistan during the 2018 Asia Cup as they added 210 runs.
3. Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma (India) – 18
On the list for the second time, Sharma shares as many century partnerships with Virat. The duo has put up a 100-run stand 18 times in their career so far. They have batted together in 81 innings in ODIs, and have 4906 runs in tandem. When they were chasing West Indies’ 322/8, they put up their biggest stand (246 runs) as India won the game.

Sangakkara (105 off 76) and Dilshan (161* off 146) contributed to Sri Lanka’s 332/1 total as they defeated Bangladesh by 92 runs. The duo stood together for 15 years and created many memories
- Sachin Tendulkar and Sourav Ganguly (India) – 26
Tendulkar and Ganguly, the two Indian legends, forged numerous spectacular partnerships before the latter called his time from international cricket and announced his retirement. They have teamed up for 176 innings, largely as openers, and scored 47.55 runs on average per match.
