Mayank Agarwal makes a blunder while wishing Jasprit and Sanjana on their wedding
Indian cricketer Jasprit Bumrah announced his wedding to sports presenter Sanjana Ganesan on social media on Monday after days of speculation. The picture immediately went viral, but it was a blunder by Indian batsman Mayank Agarwal that caught the attention of netizens. The batsman had to delete the tweet after his mistake was pointed out by some Twitter users.
The wedding of Jasprit Bumrah has been the talk of the town, ever since the information about it was leaked on social media. He along with Sanjana did their very best to keep it a private ceremony. So much so that only a few family members were allowed to attend the ceremony which was held in Goa on Sunday.
On Monday afternoon, the couple uploaded two pictures of the ceremony along with a caption from their individual Twitter accounts.
The caption read, “Love, if it finds you worthy, directs your course.” Steered by love, we have begun a new journey together. Today is one of the happiest days of our lives and we feel blessed to be able to share the news of our wedding and our joy with you. Jasprit & Sanjana.”
Fans wish Jasprit-Sanjana on their wedding, but Mayank Agarwal’s blunder takes the cake

In the picture, the two were seen in a Punjabi-style wedding, as Bumrah’s family are Punjabis by origin who are settled in Gujarat. As soon as the picture was uploaded, fans started showering them with love and blessing. Many of the cricketers along with sports journalists also wished the newlywed couple. But, Agarwal made a mistake while typing his tweet.
Instead of tagging Sanjana Ganesan, he tagged former India batting coach Sanjay Bangar. It was too long before people noticed it and started replying.
Agarwal’s tweet hilariously read, “Congratulations @Jaspritbumrah93 @ImSanjayBangar Wishing guys lots of happiness and health together.”
The tweet was noticed by many fans on Twitter. Eventually, the cricketer saw the mistake and deleted the tweet. It is just hilarious to think if Bangar would have read the tweet before it was deleted.
