LSG vs SRH Review – Stoinis, Pooran steal the show
Lucknow Super Giants returned back to winning ways as they beat Sunrisers Hyderabad by 7 wickets on Saturday, May 13 at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, Hyderabad. SRH posted a total of 182/6 in the first innings after winning the toss and opting to bat. In reply, LSG chased down the target in 19.2 overs and won the game by 7 wickets.
After opting to bat first, Sunrisers lost their opener, Abhishek Sharma, in the third over as he got caught behind against Yudhvir Singh. Despite the early wicket, Anmolpreet Singh (36 off 27) got his team off to a great start as they were 73/2 after 8 overs. However, SRH lost their way in the middle Amit Mishra and Krunal Pandya picked up three wickets in the middle overs.
A 58-run stand of 40 balls between Heinrich Klaasen (47 off 29) and Abdul Samad (37* off 25) took their side to 182/6 in their allotted 20 overs. In reply, LSG didn’t get off to a good start as they lost their opener Kyle Mayers (2 off 14) in the fourth over. Quinton de Kock also got dismissed after a good start (29 off 19). Following his dismissal, Prerak Mankad (64* off 45) and Marcus Stoinis (40 off 25) took the innings forward with their 73-run partnership off 43 balls.
After Stoinis’ dismissal in the 16th over, Nicholas Pooran walked to the crease and played a breathtaking knock of 44* off 13 balls to help his side chase down the target with four balls to spare winning the game by seven wickets.

Prerak Mankad
The 29-year-old played scored his first IPL fifty and played a magnificent innings of 64* off 45 balls and held LSG’s innings together. His innings was studded with seven fours and two sixes and got involved in crucial partnerships with Marcus Stoinis and Nicholas Pooran.
Krunal Pandya
The LSG captain bowled a brilliant spell of 2/24 in four overs and picked up crucial wickets of Aiden Markram and Glenn Phillips in the middle overs. The left-arm seamer bowled two magical deliveries to dismiss both batters on consecutive deliveries.

Sunrisers Hyderabad will lock horns with Gujarat Titans on May 15 at Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad. On the other hand, Lucknow Super Giants will be up against Mumbai Indians on May 16 at Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium, Lucknow.
