Kuldeep Yadav takes vaccine at guest house, Kanpur administration orders probe

Kuldeep Yadav

Team India cricketer Kuldeep Yadav has taken a drastic u-turn regarding his stance for the COVID-19 vaccination. The Kanpur district administration has demanded an inquiry as initially, Yadav booked a hospital slot but took his first dose of vaccine at a guest house. The Chinaman bowler received a dose of the COVID-19 vaccine on Saturday.

He shared the picture on his social media profile and urged everyone to take the vaccine as India is currently battling to stay strong amidst the second wave which has already taken a lot of lives.

Kuldeep Yadav asked for an explanation by Kanpur officials

According to India Today, the spinner took the vaccine on the lawn of the Kanpur Nagar Nigam guest house, instead of Jageshwar Hospital in Govind Nagar. The issue with Yadav is that he has not properly communicated to the Kanpur administration regarding his vaccine not taking place at the hospital which was scheduled to take place.

As soon as the picture went viral, the officials were shocked and didn’t know how to react. Kanpur District Magistrate Alok Tiwari has spoken about this matter to ADM Atul Kumar and an investigation is going to take place soon.

Yadav has currently fallen off the selectors’ radar as he has not been included in the squad for the upcoming tour of England. The selection committee is also pondering about his inclusion in the tour of Sri Lanka in the month of July sans the main players who will be in England. In fact, the 26-year-old was also not given chances while playing for the Kolkata Knight Riders in the 14th season of the Indian Premier League.

After his lackluster performances in the last two years in the national team as well as in the IPL, Yadav is now looking to start from scratch and is willing to wait for his chances. In a recent interview, Yadav also opened up on how he misses the guidance of MS Dhoni behind the stumps.
