The Beginning
Born on Santa Cruz, Trinidad and Tobago, an all-rounder with the skillset of Dwayne Bravo would always be in high demand. Starting his career as an opener, Bravo’s fortunes turned around as soon as he started to play a more prominent role with the ball in his hand. Within two years of his first-class debut, Bravo found himself as an important member of the national set-up.
IPL exploits
After playing for the Mumbai Indians in the first three seasons, Bravo joined Chennai Super Kings ahead of the 2011 IPL. The CSK think tank extracted the best of out the hard-hitting all-rounder to make him into a T20 legend. He has played in 136 IPL matches in which he has amassed 1483 runs. More importantly, he has taken 147 wickets in the T20 tournament. In 2013 IPL season, Bravo claimed 32 wickets.

Cricket runs in the Bravo family as Dwayne’s half-brother Darren is also an accomplished international cricketer. Bravo has also dabbled in R&B music, releasing many videos, including the viral hit ‘Champion‘. He has also tried his hand at acting in the Tamil movie ‘Ula‘. Bravo has also expressed an interest in making his Bollywood debut in the near future. Dwayne is the proud father of three kids – daughter Dwaynice and sons Dwayne Bravo Jr and Dwade.
