KL Rahul undergoes successful thigh surgery
Lucknow Super Giants skipper KL Rahul recently sustained an injury to his right thigh in the side’s clash against Royal Challengers Bangalore on Monday, May 1. The injury saw the star Indian batter ruled out for the remainder of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 season. Notably, KL Rahul is also ruled out of WTC final that is scheduled to be played from June 7.
With no confirmed date for the 31-year-old’s return, KL took to Instagram, where he gave an update on his injury. He revealed that he has undergone a successful surgery, thanked the doctors, and opined that he was officially on the road to recovery.
Taking to Instagram, KL Rahul wrote, “Hi everyone, I just got done with my surgery – it was successful. A big thank you to the doctors and medical staff for making sure I was comfortable and everything went smoothly. I’m officially on the road to recovery now. I’m determined to get back to my best and get back on the field. Onwards and upwards!”
