Jasprit Bumrah pens heartfelt note on return to Cape Town
South Africa won the second Test match in Johannesburg by seven wickets to level the series against India. Both the teams will now play the third Test match in Cape Town, where India has never won a Test match. Cape Town is the same venue where Jasprit Bumrah made his debut in 2018 and picked a total of four wickets.
Bumrah finished the series with 14 wickets in three matches at an average of 25.21. He was the second-highest wicket-taker for India in the series and stood behind Mohammed Shami who took 15 wickets. Bumrah will be returning to the same venue after four years and posted a special Tweet along with a heartfelt message.
Bumrah has become a key bowler for India in Test cricket in the last four years. He has taken 107 wickets in 26 matches at an average of 23.24. Bumrah is currently placed in the ninth position in the ICC Men’s Test Bowling Rankings with 781 rating points. In September 2019, Bumrah was placed at the third position in the rankings.
