The Covid-19 pandemic has jolted the entire world in unimaginable ways. After the virus emerged in 2019, it spread faster than fire and captured the entire world into its vicious grip over the last year, with India being one of the most severely affected nations.

The philanthropic Pathans

In these extraordinarily trying times, a host of cricketers and renowned personalities came forward to contribute to India’s fight in whatever capacity they could have. One of the players who has been at his toes in helping the fellow countrymen in every way possible has been Irfan Pathan and his elder brother Yusuf Pathan, both Covid-19 survivors, who have taken multiple initiatives in the last few months and have left no stone unturned in assisting those in need of help.

The brothers extended support by providing free meals to the residents of Vadodara and South Delhi earlier this year, while in another humanitarian gesture, the duo had donated masks and other essential supplies to policemen working tirelessly in their resident city even during the peak of the pandemic.

Pathan brothers, who run the Cricket Academy of Pathan’s (CAP), recently donated enough ration to fulfil the need of over 90,000 families apart from dispatching many batches of oxygen concentrators in what was an initiative of Mehmoodkhan S Pathan Charitable Trust.

Such brilliant work calls for due recognition, and that Irfan Pathan got from the Gujarat government that felicitated him for a list of his noble initiatives in such exceedingly catastrophic times. Taking to Twitter, the former India player thanked the Gujarat governor.
