However, the right-hander makes it to this elite list as he reached the 1000-run mark against RCB in 2021 at the tender age of 21 years and 169 days. In 69 appearances in the league thus far, Shaw has aggregated 1635 runs at an average of 23.70 and 12 fifties under his belt.
2. Yashasvi Jaiswal | 21y 130 days
Relishing a fabulous 2023 season, Rajasthan’s Yashasvi Jaiswal breached the 1000-run mark during the clash against Sunrisers Hyderabad on May 7. Notably, the batter got a quickfire 18-ball 35 against SRH before heading back to the dugout. At 21 years and 130 days, Jaiswal is the second-youngest in this elite list to get to 1000 runs in the IPL. Additionally, in mere 11 matches in the ongoing season, Jaiswal has 477 runs at a stunning average of 43.36, lacing it with three fifties and one century.
1. Rishabh Pant | 20y 218 days
In 2018, while donning the outfit of Delhi Daredevils (now Capitals), Pant became the youngest player to collect 1000 runs in the top-tier league. He grabbed the top spot at the mere age of 20 years and 218 days. Though he misses out on the 16th edition after sustaining multiple injuries in a car crash, Pant will be raring to make a resounding comeback in the next season. In just 98 matches, Pant has collected 2838 runs at an average of 34.61 and 15 half-centuries and one ton to his name.
