IPL Retentions: The complete list of retained players by all 8 teams
The IPL 2022 is approaching. The IPL governing council has announced 30th November 2021 as the final date for the teams to announce their retentions ahead of the mega-auction. Each team can retain as many as four players. There are two different combinations that the teams can choose while picking their four players: three Indians and one overseas, or two Indians and two overseas. It is immaterial if the Indian players are capped or uncapped.
The team purses shall be deducted according to the number of players retained. If a franchise retains four players, INR 42 crore will be deducted from the total purse of INR 90 crores. If they retain three players, the purse will lose INR 33 crores. Two retentions will cost them INR 24 crore and if only one player is retained, they will be paying INR 14 crores. For uncapped players, INR 4 crores shall be deducted from the purse per player.
