IPL: Most runs scored in boundaries in an individual innings

112 – AB de Villiers vs Gujarat Lions in Bangalore in 2016 (10 fours and 12 sixes)
During Match 31 of the IPL 2016, several records went for a toss as AB de Villiers along with Virat Kohli ripped apart Gujarat Lions’ bowling attack. De Villiers scored 129 off 52 balls and added 229 runs off 96 balls with Virat Kohli (109 off 55 balls). Out of de Villiers’ 129 runs, 112 came from boundaries alone, which helped RCB post 248/3 on the board and register a win by 144 runs
118 – Brendon McCullum vs RCB in Bangalore in 2008 (10 fours and 13 sixes)
Brendon McCullum gave the perfect beginning to the Indian Premier League as played a sensational knock of 158* off 73 balls, smashing 10 fours and 13 sixes in his innings. IPL would not have got off to a better start as McCullum helped KKR post a mammoth 222/3 in the first innings, which led to their eventual win by 140 runs. Out of McCullum’s 158 runs, 118 came from boundaries, making him rank second on the list.
154 – Chris Gayle vs PWI in Bangalore in 2013 (13 fours and 17 sixes)
Chris Gayle lit up the 2013 season of the Indian Premier League with his mind-boggling knock of 175* off 66 balls against Pune Warriors India in Match 31. He reached his hundred off just 30 balls, which is the fastest ever in the history of the tournament. He also clobbered 17 sixes during his innings, a record for most sixes in an innings in the history of the league.
Gayle further helped RCB post the highest total ever in the tournament i.e., 263/5 in 20 overs. Out of his 175 runs, 154 came from boundaries alone, making him rank on the top of the list.
