3. Ishan Kishan, 516 runs, IPL 2020
The southpaw had a great season opening the innings for Mumbai Indians as he scored 516 runs in 13 innings at an average of 57.33 and a strike rate of 145.76 with four fifties to his name. Kishan’s incredible run helped MI win their fifth IPL title and further led to Kishan being sold for a massive INR 15.25 crore at the mega auction in 2022.
2. Shaun Marsh, 616 runs, IPL 2008
Shaun Marsh scripted history in the inaugural edition of the IPL in 2008 as he finished as the highest run scorer of the season with 616 runs to his name in 11 innings at an average of 68.44 and a strike rate of 139.68 with one hundred and five fifties to his name.
1. Yashasvi Jaiswal, 625 runs, IPL 2023
The 21-year-old has taken the IPL 2023 by storm with his incredible performances throughout the season. Jaiswal has amassed 625 runs in 14 innings at an average of 48.07 and a strike rate of 163.61 with one hundred and five fifties to his name. Courtesy of his sensational run, Jaiswal has surpassed Marsh’s tally and has become the uncapped batter with the most number of runs in the tournament’s history.
