IPL logo is secretly designed after AB de Villiers: Virender Sehwag
Ab De Villiers is a legend. He is a batting powerhouse, who can decimate any bowling attack on his day. And, if there is one man who knows a thing or two on how to decimate bowlers, it is Virender Sehwag.
The IPL fever has already gripped the country, and the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) side beat the Mumbai Indians (MI) in a thrilling encounter on 9th April 2021. And now, Sehwag has shown his funny side to the world while praising De Villiers.
The Indian batting legend cheekily stated that the Ab De Villiers power defeats every other power. The ‘Nawab of Najafgarh’ even stated that the IPL logo is designed after Ab De Villiers only. Sehwag also praised Harshal Patel for his superb five-wicket haul in the match against the Mumbai Indians.
Will power = De villiers Power.

Ab De Villiers’ superb batting display helps RCB post their first win
The 14th edition of the IPL started in a thrilling fashion. Batting first, the Mumbai Indians posted a total of 159/9 on the board. The catalyst of the Mumbai innings was Chris Lynn, who scored a 35-ball 49. For the Bangalore side, it was Harshal Patel who wreaked havoc with the ball in hand.
The right-arm pacer cleaned up the Mumbai batting line up, and picked up 5 wickets, giving away just 27 runs in his 4 overs. In reply, it was the ‘Big Three’ that stepped up for the Bangalore side. The likes of Virat Kohli, Glenn Maxwell, and Ab De Villiers contributed significantly to help the Bangalore outfit cross the line.
While Kohli scored 33 at the top of the order, Maxwell scored a brisk 39. However, it was De Villiers who allowed the RCB side to cross the line. The South African batting colossus scored a 27-ball 48 to steer his side to a 2-wicket victory over the defending champions. Pacer Harshal Patel was awarded the Man of the Match award for his exemplary performance with the ball in hand.
The RCB side will play their second match of the 2021 edition of the IPL against the David Warner-led Sun Risers Hyderabad (SRH) side on 14th April 2021.
