Rashid Khan recently played a scintillating knock coming down the middle order during the match against Mumbai Indians at the iconic Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on May 12. Scoring an unbeaten 79 runs, the batter made his name in an elite list of cricketers with the highest runs scored batting at No.8 or lower. 3. Harbhajan Singh | 64 runs | Mumbai Indians
In 2015, during a match against Kings XI Punjab (now Punjab Kings), a former Mumbai Indians spinner came down the batting order and clobbered 64 runs during the chase of 177 runs. The knock came at a point when Mumbai were reduced to 59/6. In came, Harbhajan who raised a 100-run stand with Jagadeesha Suchith and scored 64 off mere 24 balls, which included six sixes and five fours, at a stunning strike rate of 266.66. Despite his knock, MI lost the contest by 18 runs.
2. Pat Cummins | 66* | Kolkata Knight Riders
The Aussie all-rounder slammed an unbeaten 66 against Chennai Super Kings (CSK) at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai in 2021 while chasing a humongous total of 220 runs. After being reduced to 31/5, Cummins decided to take matters into his own hands and hammered six maximums and four fours in his 34-ball 66* at a solid strike rate of 194.11. However, his knock went in vain as KKR lost by 18 runs in the run-fest.

In the 16th edition of the IPL, Suryakumar Yadav scored a sensational 49-ball 103* in the first innings to steer MI to 218 runs in the first innings. In response, the Titans lost wickets at regular intervals which saw them slipping off from the chase. However, it was Rashid Khan who played a scintillating knock as he cracked an unbeaten 79 runs off 32 balls which featured as many as 10 sixes and three fours at a jaw-dropping strike rate of 246.87. Rashid recorded the highest runs batting at No.8 or lower in the IPL.
