IPL 2023: 3 Players RR might pick at the auction
Rajasthan Royals had a terrific season in the previous year’s edition as they ended up as the runners-up. With the IPL 2023 mini-auction slated to take place on December 23, all eyes are on the teams and what move they would make in order to bolster the squad ahead of the new season. The franchise has got rid of some underwhelming performers and will now be on the lookout to get players who could add more depth to the side.
Here are three players the Rajasthan franchise may pick at the mini-auction
Narayan Jagadeesan
Jagadeesan was part of CSK but could only manage to feature in only two matches and scored 40 runs. Furthermore, the yellow side were not too impressed by his run to retain him which is why Rajasthan could go after the batter. Jagadeesan has the ability to play as a middle-order batter can bring fruitful results to his side. RR have struggled in the middle order aspect during the match and the local player could just be the one to solve the flaw.
Nicholas Pooran
Pooran was excluded from the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) retention list and is set to feature in the mini-auction. Despite scoring 306 runs in 14 games, the batter failed to cement his spot in the side. However, the Caribbean batter has a plethora of experience which could come in handy for the RR side.
Jason Holder
Holder featured for the new franchise LSG in the IPL 2022 but has lost his spot in the side. RR’s pursuit for an all-rounder will remain on top of their agenda especially after releasing Jimmy Neesham. Despite enduring a rather underwhelming season with LSG, Holder still has the potential to be lethal both with the bat and ball.
