IPL 2022: SRH vs RCB Review – Bangalore trounce Hyderabad
Sunrisers Hyderabad suffered their fourth straight defeat in IPL 2022 as they lost to Royal Challengers Bangalore in Match 54 of IPL 2022. The Kane Williamson-led side, chasing a big score, could not get off the blocks with both openers getting dismissed cheaply. However, Rahul Tripathi kept the side in the hunt with a half century while the likes of Aiden Markram and Nicholas Pooran played small cameos. SRH had no answers to Wanindu Hasaranga’s bowling, as he picked a five-wicket haul and helped RCB restrict SRH 67 runs short in the end.
Earlier, RCB won the toss and elected to bat first but they did not have the best of starts with Virat Kohli dismissed for a golden duck. Du Plessis and Rajat Patidar (48) got a big partnership going for the second wicket and the stage was set for a final flourish. Glenn Maxwell (33) and Dinesh Karthik (30*) took the bowlers apart in the death overs which pushed the score to a massive 192.
