IPL 2022: RR vs KKR, Stats Review – Buttler’s ton, Chahal’s hat-trick
Jos Buttler smashed yet another breathtaking century this season while Yuzvendra Chahal took five-for including a hat-trick as Rajasthan Royals (RR) defeated Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in a thriller by seven runs in Match 30 of IPL 2022 at the Brabourne Stadium in Mumbai. Buttler scored 103 runs off just 61 deliveries with nine fours and five sixes with Chahal picking up five wickets for 40 runs to win the fourth match for RR this campaign.
Meanwhile, here are some of the important stats and numbers from Match 30 between Rajasthan Royals and Kolkata Knight Riders in the Indian Premier League 2022:
150 – Sunil Narine appeared in his 150th match for KKR in T20 matches.
1 – Yuzvendra Chahal recorded his best bowling figures of 5/40 in the IPL. His previous best was 4/25 against Punjab Kings in 2016.
1 – RR registered the highest team total of 217/5 this IPL season. The previous best was by Chennai Super Kings 216/4 against Royal Challengers Bangalore.
21 – Chahal’s hat-trick was 21st in the IPL and he became the fifth RR bowler to claim the feat.
3 – Jos Buttler scored his third IPL century and is now joint-third with AB de Villiers for most tons (3) by an overseas batter. Chris Gayle has six while David Warner and Shane Watson have four centuries each.
1 – RR has now smashed the most sixes (63) this campaign. Punjab Kings (PBKS) is in the second spot for hitting 58 maximums.
1 – Buttler has now slammed most tons (3) for RR in the IPL. Ajinkya Rahane, Shane Watson, and Sanju Samson have all scored two hundred each.
4 – Buttler became the fourth batter to slam a century at the Brabourne Stadium in the IPL. The other three batters are Yusuf Pathan in 2010, Shane Watson in 2015, and KL Rahul in this edition itself.
