IPL 2022: MI – Three players to watch out for
The 15th edition of the Indian Premier League will start from March 26 with last-year champions Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and other finalists Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) starting the tournament. Five-time champions Mumbai Indians (MI) will be taking on formidable Delhi Capitals in their opening match, which will be played on March 27 (Sunday). Rohit Sharma
Indian and Mumbai Indian skipper Rohit Sharma has been a key performer for the franchise over the years. MI have won a record number of five titles under his captaincy. Talking about his numbers in IPL, the 34-year-old has played a total 213 IPL matches so far in which he has scored 5611 runs at an average of 31.17 in the toughest T20 league. The right-handed batter also has 40 fifties and one century under his name.
Suryakumar Yadav
Suryakumar Yadav has been a regular feature for the five-time champions Mumbai Indians. The right-handed batter likes to dominate the bowlers from the word go. Yadav has played a total of 115 IPL games and has amassed a total of2341 runs so far at an average of 28.9. Adding on, a strike rate of 135.71 speaks volumes about his talent with the bat.
Jasprit Bumrah
Indian express pacer Jasprit Bumrah is one of the core members of MI franchise. The right-arm pacer has evolved himself since making his IPL debut back in 2013. Bumrah has been a prominent bowler for captain Rohit Sharma over the years and continues to do so. In 106 IPL matches, he has scalped 130 wickets with an average of 23.05. He is quite economical as well, having bowled at an economy rate of 7.42 in his IPL career.
