IPL 2022: LSG vs MI Review – KL Rahul’s century hands Mumbai their 8th defeat
Mumbai Indians suffered their eighth consecutive loss in the season after losing the game against Lucknow Super Giants by 36 runs. Ishan Kishan failed to get going again while Rohit Sharma did start off well in the chase for Mumbai, however, a cluster of wickets fell at a crucial time and resulted in the required run going up as well. Some impressive death bowling from LSG ensured that Mumbai could not end up on the winning side.
Earlier, Rohit Sharma chose to bowl first after winning the toss and Jasprit Bumrah got the early breakthrough of Quinton de Kock. Manish Pandey could not up the ante and was dismissed after a run-a-ball 22 while none of the incoming batters could do much damage. The captain KL Rahul was, meanwhile, the only one who got going and he played a superb knock, scoring a brilliant century to take his side to 168.
