IPL 2022: LSG vs KKR Preview – Lucknow face dangerous Kolkata
The Lucknow Super Giants will be locking horns with the Kolkata Knight Riders in Match 53 of IPL 2022 at the Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Pune on May 7. Both teams will be heading into this contest having won their last games. While Lucknow got the better of Delhi Capitals by six runs, Kolkata defeated in-form Rajasthan Royals by seven wickets.
LSG have managed to tick their boxes to a certain extent. While their bowling has come good ever since their defeat to Royal Challengers Bangalore, the batting has witnessed some firepower from skipper KL Rahul who has only been growing from strength to strength in the last couple of games. However, Lucknow would be expecting an improved performance from their middle-order which has been coming up with sporadic performances.
Kolkata, on the other hand, finally heaved a sigh of relief by registering a well-deserved win to snap a five-match losing streak. But with time running away, the two-time winners just cannot afford to get complacent as they are one of the inconsistent sides this season.
KKR have not been able to perform by clicking as a unit but now and they would be hoping that the all-round duo of Pat Cummins and Andre Russell roar back to form as each win counts from hereon. There is no margin of error for them heading into the business end of the tournament.
