IPL 2022: KKR vs DC Review – Power-packed Delhi thump Kolkata

Delhi Capitals registered their second victory in IPL 2022 with a thumping win over the Kolkata Knight Riders in Match 19. The opening pair of Ajinkya Rahane and Venkatesh Iyer did not work for KKR and in a big run chase of 215, and the Shreyas Iyer-led side kept losing wickets at regular intervals. Rishabh Pant captained splendidly and rotated his bowlers at the right time to ensure his side got home.

Earlier, the Delhi Capitals were put into bat and the openers were quite destructive throughout the powerplay. The duo of Prithvi Shaw and David Warner put the KKR bowlers under pressure from ball one and reached the 100-run mark in no time. Rishabh Pant played a quickfire cameo as well while Axar Patel and Shardul Thakur were exceptional in the last few overs to take the total past 200.
