IPL 2022: GT vs MI Preview – Table-toppers Gujarat up against bottom-placed Mumbai

Table-toppers Gujarat Titans (GT) will take on the five-time champions Mumbai Indians (MI) in their next group stage encounter, to be played at the Brabourne Stadium, Mumbai in May 6 (Friday). While GT lost their previous match against the Punjab Kings, MI managed to seal a victory against the strong-looking Rajasthan Royals.

To note, GT has won eight of ten matches they have played so far. Their losses came against PBKS and Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH). Meanwhile, the Men in Blue and Gold have won just one game in their nine matches and are currently placed last at the points table.

Both GT and MI will be facing each other for the first time in IPL history. While MI will be under the leadership of star batter Rohit Sharma, GT will be led by his former MI teammate Hardik Pandya. Similarly, the battle between premium pacer Jasprit Bumrah and GT opener Shubman Gill is also an exciting contest and it remains to be seen swho will come on top.
