IPL 2022: GT vs CSK, Stats Preview – Upcoming records and approaching milestones

Gujarat Titans and Chennai Super Kings will be facing each other in the 29th match of IPL 2022, to be played at MCA International Stadium in Pune. While this is the maiden IPL season for Gujarat Titans, their opponents Chennai Super Kings were the champions of the previous season. However, it has not been CSK’s season in IPL 2022, languishing in the seventh place with just one win in five games.

On the other hand, their opponents GT are at the top of the table with only one loss in five games. While GT has defeated DC in their only match at Pune this season, CSK in this season will be playing their first match at this venue. Gujarat Titans had batting performances all over the place with Shubman Gill and Hardik Pandya providing good knocks at the top along with the finishing prowess of David Miller, Abhinav Manohar, and Rahul Tewatia. Lockie Ferguson, Rashid Khan, and Mohammed Shami were exceptional with the ball.

For the Chennai Super Kings, Robin Uthappa and Shivam Dube produced excellent performances with the bat, while Ruturaj Gaikwad and Ambati Rayudu are yet to produce a substantial knock. Veteran Dwayne Bravo is their top performer with the ball, with seven wickets. 21-year-old Maheesh Theekshana who bowled brilliantly to take four wickets in the last match, looks dangerous too.
