IPL 2022: DC vs SRH Review – Warner, Powell sink Hyderabad
Sunrisers Hyderabad have made a hat-trick of defeats after they lost to Delhi Capitals by 21 runs at the Brabourne Stadium on May 5. Chasing a big total, the Sunrisers Hyderabad openers could not get off the blocks quickly while No. 3 batter Rahul Tripathi perished soon as well. However, the likes of Nicholas Pooran (62) and Aiden Markram (42) kept the side in the hunt with a good partnership but it was curtains for SRH once the duo was gone.
Earlier, Delhi Capitals was put into bat first. Opener Mandeep Singh was removed for a duck by Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Mitchell Marsh followed him soon. While Rishabh Pant played a quick-fire cameo of 16 ball 26, it was the partnership between David Warner (92*) and Rowman Powell (67*) for the fourth wicket which was destructive took the team to 207 in 20 overs.

David Warner has been a run-machine in IPL for years now and he yet again played a fantastic knock for Delhi Capitals at the top of the order. The left-hander remained unbeaten on 92 off just 58 deliveries that included 12 fours and three sixes and helped his side setup a huge total.
Khaleel Ahmed
Khaleel Ahmed returned to the playing XI for the Delhi Capitals and he immediately had an impact by being among the wicket’s column. The left-arm seamer picked up 3 for 30 in a high-scoring contest and provided breakthroughs at crucial moments to turn the game in his team’s favour.
What next for the two teams
Sunrisers Hyderabad will be up against the Royal Challengers Bangalore on May 8 at the Wankhede Stadium while the Delhi Capitals will play against Chennai Super Kings on the same day at the Dr DY Patil Sports Academy in Navi Mumbai.
