IPL 2022: DC vs RR Review – Mitchell Marsh powers Delhi to a comeback win
Rajasthan Royals suffered their fifth loss of the season at the hands of the Delhi Capitals in Match 58 of IPL 2022. In the run chase, Delhi was put to the backfoot straightaway as they lost opener Srikar Bharat early. However, David Warner (52*) and Mitchell Marsh (89) stitched a 144-run partnership for the second wicket in no time and won the game for Delhi with eight wickets in hand.
Earlier in the game, Rajasthan Royals were put to bat first by Rishabh Pant and they lost the in-form Jos Buttler early. R Ashwin was sent up the order and he played an excellent hand of a 38-ball 50 while Devdutt Padikkal looked in excellent touch as well with a 30-ball 48. However, RR could not finish on a high and managed 160 in their 20 overs, which never seemed to be a daunting total.
