IPL 2022: CSK vs SRH Review – Hyderabad celebrate their opening win
Chennai Super Kings faced their fourth successive defeat of the season against the Sunrisers Hyderabad in Match 17 of IPL 2022. Knowing that the target is meagre, the Sunrisers paced their run chase really well on the back of an excellent half-century from Abhishek Sharma and Rahul Tripathi played a quickfire cameo as well sealed the deal for the orange army in 17.4 overs with eight wickets in hand.
Earlier after losing the toss, CSK were on the right track with Moeen Ali and Ambati Rayudu putting up an excellent partnership, however, wickets kept falling at regular intervals later on. The final flourish was missing from the CSK middle-order batters and the good bowling from Sunrisers had to be given credit as well.

Washington Sundar
Washington Sundar did the early damage for the Sunrisers Hyderabad by picking up the important wicket of Robin Uthappa. The off-spinner kept hitting the tough lengths and finished with 2 for 21 in his spell. The all-rounder has been one of the positives for the Sunrisers this season with both bat and ball.
Abhishek Sharma
Abhishek Sharma finally managed to fulfil his potential with a magnificent innings of 50-ball 75 that included five fours and three sixes. The left-hander stitched a crucial opening partnership with Kane Williamson and helped his side to their first victory of the season. The knock will certainly bring a lot of confidence for the youngster who has struggled so far in his IPL career.

Sunrisers Hyderabad will play the Gujarat Titans at the Dr DY Patil Sports Academy in Navi Mumbai on the 11th of April while Chennai Super Kings will be next up against the Royal Challengers Bangalore at the Dr DY Patil Sports Academy, Navi Mumbai on the 12th of April.
