IPL 2022: CSK vs DC Review – Chennai roar back with a thumping win over Delhi
Delhi Capitals suffered a massive defeat at the hands of the Chennai Super Kings by 91 runs in Match 55 of IPL 2022. The Rishabh Pant-led side kept losing wickets in a big chase, which did not help the cause. Mitchell Marsh and Shardul Thakur were the only batters to get going while and the side was bundled out for 117 in the end.
Earlier in the game, Chennai Super Kings were put into bat first and they made a merry at the expense of the Delhi Capitals bowling unit right from the start as Ruturaj Gaikwad (41) and Conway (87) laid the foundation for a big score MS Dhoni finished with a bang to get the total to 208 in 20 overs.
Top Performers of the game
Devon Conway
Devon Conway has been in brilliant touch in the last few games for the Chennai Super Kings and the New Zealander has certainly repaid the faith shown by the team in him this year. The left-hander played some splendid shots in his knock of 87 off just 49 deliveries that included seven fours and five sixes and brought up his third half-century on the trot.
Moeen Ali
Moeen Ali has been contributing both with bat and ball in recent times and he came up with an outstanding bowling spell that dented the run chase for the Delhi franchise. The off-spinner was the pick of the bowlers for the CSK side and finished with 3 for 13 in his four overs spell.
